HOOKUPS is a Nigeria-focused dating service for adults aged 18 and over. This policy explains the information the service processes and the choices available to members.

Information collected

When you register or use HOOKUPS, the service may process your email address, authentication details, profile name, age or date of birth, gender, location, relationship intentions, biography, photographs, likes, matches, messages, safety reports, and usage or activity timestamps. Third-party authentication and hosting providers may process technical information necessary to provide their services.

How information is used

Information is used to operate accounts, show eligible profiles, support mutual matching and conversations, prevent misuse, investigate reports, maintain security, and improve reliability. Location filters use the city and state provided in profiles. Activity indicators are approximate.

Who can see information

Other eligible members may see profile information and uploaded public profile photographs. Matched members may exchange messages. Authorized administrators may access information needed for safety and support. Avoid uploading photos or sharing profile details you do not want visible to other members.

Service providers and retention

HOOKUPS uses infrastructure and authentication services including Supabase and hosting providers. Data is retained as needed for service operation, security, legal obligations, and dispute handling. Deleted content may persist temporarily in backups or audit records where legally permitted.

Your choices

You may edit profile details and remove profile photos through account controls. For access, correction, deletion, or privacy inquiries, email support@hookups.com.ng. Some requests may require identity verification.

AI-generated promotional images

Some photographs and illustrations used in HOOKUPS marketing, landing pages, or design previews are AI-generated. These images are promotional visuals and do not represent actual registered members, verified identities, live activity, or genuine user testimonials. Member-uploaded photos are distinct from promotional imagery.

Updates

We may revise this policy as features and data practices change. Material changes should be communicated appropriately. This policy should be reviewed against the production deployment and applicable Nigerian data-protection obligations before launch.
